So classes are probably going to be the most daunting thing when entering college, at least for me that was it.
In all honesty, depending on the college you go to, there will be different levels of difficulty. At my college, because the classes are so intense and we have to fit a whole course into a 10 week period, the work load is a lot, but we only take 3 classes per quarter.
Friends from high school who don't go to arts school say it's more like high school where you take about five or six classes and it's over a semester.
So general tips

Friends from high school who don't go to arts school say it's more like high school where you take about five or six classes and it's over a semester.
So general tips
- Don't be late!
- Don't miss class if you can
- If you miss class, email you're teacher. Or if you know ahead of time, let the teacher know.
- If you miss class, email a student or the teacher for a copy of notes or know what was discussed
- Go to office hours if your teacher offers them and you're struggling. The teacher will be impressed, remember you, and know that you are trying your best and will take you seriously as a student
- Try to make friends within the class, and study together, or if there is a project team up
- If you are unsure about something ask questions! I know it sounds stupid, but you won't look stupid if you ask questions. Likelihood is, other students were going to ask the same thing
- Get your work done on time.
- If you need an extension, ask at least three days in advance and explain why you need it
- Take good notes! Try to come up with a short hand system so when you're in a lecture class you don't fall behind when the teacher is talking
- Ask the teacher if they can post the Powerpoint's online
- Be engaged in class and participate! In my school 10% of your overall grade is based on in class participation. By the end of the quarter it adds up.
